Pisces sign of the Fishes

Many people associate Pisces merely as the sign for people born between Feb 20th. -Mar 20th. or as their horoscope while this is correct, not many people know where the word originates from or its symbolic meaning. We will discuss the two meanings that are heavily instilled in the Christian faith.

The fish symbol is represented in almost every Christian Church around the world. If you remember Jesus told Peter, " I will make you fishers of me"- Matthew 4:19. As time would go on many Christians embraced the symbol of the fish to be a symbol that referred to Jesus. So in turn the fish symbol helped Christians to identify others that believed in Christianity.

The second use of the symbol in Christianity is the Jesus fish. It comes from the Piscean fish-God name Dagon a sea monster. The Pope represents Dagon till this day, not Jesus Christ. You may be scratching your head saying HUH?!?! If you notice the hat that the Pope wears, a side angle shows what is the shape of a fishes head.

I just wanted to approach the subject from a different view. Something to ponder and think about, while you ride around with your fish bumper sticker. lol
